Project level pricing varies from project to project of course, but there are some general numbers you can use to ballpark your required web development budget.

Most projects involve at least some effort in all of the following areas:

Graphic Design
This work entails the creation of logos, buttons, banners, background images, as well as the “mock ups” that are used to help you decide on the design you want your site to have.
DMD offers Graphic Design Services at the rate of $65/hr (USD)

Web Design
This is the work involved with turning the graphic mock ups into actual HTML files. Like Graphic Design this work is custom for each of our clients.
Web Design Services at DMD are offered at the rate of $55/hr (USD)

Platform Deployment
When possible we’ll use existing Best of Breed applications as the engine behind your site. This reduces development hours, saves you money, and gives you a time tested, battle hardened solution. The hours spent in “Platform Deployment” represent the work that is done to setup any/all of those Best of Breed platforms for you.
The rate for this service is $40/hr (USD)

Extended Platform Configuration
In MOST cases the “out of the box” application provided by the platform selected for your solution will come close to serving your needs. Close isn’t what we’re shooting for though so there’s likely going to be some extended configuration that needs to be done specific to your needs. We call this “Extended Platform Configuration”.
The rate for this service is $40/hr (USD)

Custom Functionality Development
It’s also quite likely that you’ll want / need one or two things that just isn’t provided by the selected platform at all.
No worries, we can help. Any work that needs to be done to provide you with custom functionality inside or outside of the packaged platform falls under “Custom Functionality Development”.
The rate for this service is $55/hr (USD)

Extended Services
Services that fall into the “Extended” category like web hosting, and SEO services are project based and each engagement is different. Please Contact Us regarding your needs in these areas and we will work with you to define the scope of the project.
